after use, Instruments has to be rinsed immediately after use under warm or
cool running water to remove all blood, body fluids and tissue. Dried soils may
damage the instrument surface and it becomes difficult to clean. Do not use hot
water as this will coagulate portentous substances.

Time and agitation play important roles in the cleaning process.

cleaning
Time — The efficiency of cleaning chemicals is time dependant
Agitation -It is helpful in loosening the soil on the surface of the
instrument whether manual or ultrasonic.

After sterilization the instruments has to be stored in clean and dry environment.
Stains for Stainless Steel Instruments
Stainless
steel can rust although it is rust free and stains if handled improperly. Erase
the discoloration with a pencil eraser to determine if a discoloration is rust
or just a stain. It is corrosion if there is pitting in the metal under the
discoloration. It was just a stain if the discoloration is removed.
